This "house on the mountain" was designed for a high-profile New York City developer and his wife, a holistic therapist. Having raised their children, the couple decided to demolish their existing house and make way for a new home designed to be more appropriate to their current lifestyle. The new residence would include five bedrooms (all with private bathrooms), a living room (with a spectacular view toward Manhattan), a large "entertaining" kitchen, a library and an indoor competition-sized lap pool.
