Fivecat Studio Architects - St. Johns Place, Chappaqua, New York

The kitchen of this 1930's tudor cottage was
enlarged and opened to the existing family
room. A new mud room entry, adjacent to
the kitchen, functions beautifully for access
with kids and groceries.

The second floor was expanded to
accommodate a new master bedroom suite.

The clients requested that Fivecat Studio also
add a new garage. In order to respect the
scale of the home, as well as the surrounding
neighborhood, a new open carport was
added to protect the family vehicle. This
thoughtful change in scope has become one
of the clients' favorite features of the home.
The flexible space doubles as an outdoor
play space for the kids on rainy days.
